BECOME INVOLVED!

Child Find Committee
This committee looks at the central intake and referral process, public awareness activities, education of the community, and the provision of transition from hospital to home activities.  If you’re interested, please contact Tiana Smith at (330) 425-7111 or smitt@cgfs.org

Service Coordination Committee
This committee addresses service coordinators who provide information on community resources, referrals to other programs, facilitating the development of family goals (IFSP), developmental screenings, evaluation of children to determine eligibility, and coordinate transition to other programs and services. If you’re interested, please contact Ann-Marie Ciavolella at (330) 315-2673 or CHCAMZ@aol.com

Direct Services:  This committee will look at the information being provided to families during home visits, identifying and establishing a medical/health home for families, how health and physical assessments of newborns and mothers are being done and ongoing home visits as determined by the families’ needs. If you’re interested, please contact Debbie Dolfi at deborah_dolfi@yahoo.com

Early Childhood:  This is a committee of each county Family and Children First Council.  It assists the FCFC in the design, coordination and implementation of a comprehensive, coordinated, interdisciplinary, family-centered Help Me Grow system of services for families with an infant or toddler at risk for or with developmental disabilities/delays.  If you’re interested, please contact Laura Moomaw at (330) 926-5671 or lmoomaw@schd.org

Because a parent’s input and time is so
valuable to our county, parents are paid
a stipend to attend these meetings
and childcare expenses are reimbursed.
