Developmental Assessment - This refers to any screening that continually measures a child's general development in the five developmental domains, but only requires one trained service coordinator to perform. These are meant to be a quick look to see if there is need for an in-depth developmental evaluation.

Developmental Evaluation - This refers to a detailed and in-depth evaluation of a child's development in the five developmental domains which requires two professionals of different disciplines (see policy for a lst) simultaneously observing a child.
