Partnerships for Succes Goals

Increased School Success:
Increase the proportion of Summit County students passing the 4th grade reading proficiency test from 66.6 to 75% students passing

Increase the high school graduation rate in Summit County by 90%, with special focus on minorities.

Reduce the incidence of out-of-school suspension by 25%, with special focus on minorities.
Increase the secondary school attendance rate from 93.4% to 95%.

Reduced Delinquency:
Reduce the number of delinquent offenses committed by juveniles in Summit County by 10%, with special focus on minority juveniles, females, and juveniles under age 13.

Reduce recidivism by juvenile offenders, from 63% to 57%, among offenders age 15 referred for a repeat offense within two years of their original referral.

Reduce the number of youth referred to juvenile court for unruly offenses, including truancy, by 10%.

Reduce the rate of felony level offenses adjudications by 10%, with special focus on minority and female juveniles.

Reduced Violence:
Reduce the domestic violence referral rate of juveniles by 10%, with special focus on females.

Reduce the violent offenses adjudication rate of juvenile by 10%.

Reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect from 35 to 25 per 1000.

Quality of Life:
Increase the proportion of African-American children age 18 or less living above the federal poverty level from 60.7% to 80%.

Reduce the rate of births to teens, focusing on higher rates among African-American youth, reducing the rate from 69.8 births per 1,000 to females age 15-17 to the Surgeon General’s recommended goal of 43.0.
